Green district Koraput 

Koraput  is one of the green district of Odisha. Which is covered with mountains and the thick forest with so many beautyfull tourist attractions. The green district  Koraput geographically located 17.4 degree to 20.7 degree north latitude and 81.24 degree to 84.2 degree east latitude. It is established in 1st April 1936. which is 2999km above the sea level. The total area of the koraput is. 8379 sq km and the population of the koraput is 11,80,637 as per the survey of year 2001. Koraput share it’s border with Rayagada , Nawarangpur, Malkangiri  and also the Chattisgard state of India. Here mainly adhivashi are living and also some of urban people are living in Koraput.

Culture of Koraput

The green district Koraput consists of 62 types of tribe. Some of main tribe are Bhumia, Bhatra, Gond, Koya, Paraja, Kondh constitute above one lakh each. They all live in the small small villages although their number is so small.Distinct Koraput's traditions  are uncomon for tribes as architecture, sculpture, farming, handcraft, music and dance, koraput boasts of a long and rich cultural heritage.thats why so many tourist attracts towards the Koraput. There are so many festivals are observed according to tribes I.e.Nuakhai, Dhankhai, Badbent, Chaitparab, Baisakparab,  Dosehera, Ganesh puja are the traditional festivals and also national festivals are observed.

Education of Koraput

The literacy rate of Koraput is 49.21percent. 50.21percent male and 32.23percent of female out of 49.21 percent. Education provided by state govt. Odisha and also provide central government of India. To attract the children so many facilities are provided by both the government that are SSA,MDM, Dreshes etc. There are all types of school number is 2906 present and so many colleges , some of school and colleges name are  Jawaharlal Nehru vidyalaya, kendriya vidyalaya, government school Koraput,  Government school baipariguda, etc are the schools and colleges are government college koraput, telent college koraput, vigyan international College Koraput, aronatics college sunabeda are the femouse college in Koraput.

Tourist place in Koraput

Green district Koraput covered with thick forest with tourist place , some majore tourist places are Punjisil waterfall, Kollabdam, Duduma waterfall, Rani Duduma waterfall, Gulmi waterfall, Gadbanda bredge , Sabarsrikre, Gupteswer, Jalaput water reserver and deomali  mountain are the main tourist attraction in Koraput.

Koraput is a district of tribes but there are also some town are situated which is mainly complete all need of Koraput. Name of the town are koraput, Jaypur, Damanjadi, similiguda, Potangi,nadapur, Gupteswer, Baipariguda, and  Boriguma are the majercity in Koraput. Two international companies are also situated in Koraput namely National aluminium limited company and Hindustan aeronautics limited which is proud for Koraput.
